StrikeLink Airborne
Today’s tactical digital interoperability has been achieved through stove-pipe development and maintenance activities between
platform programs.
As the number of digitally capable platforms increases, the cost
and schedule required to develop, maintain and test
interoperability between these platforms quickly outpaces
programmatic budgets and requirements synchronization.
This approach does not scale. Stove-pipe digital communication
solutions result in increased costs and unnecessary complexity
burdens on the warfighers.
StrikeLink/Airborne, or “StrikeLink/A®”, offers a viable solution
by providing a common software package between air assets
and ground observers.
StrikeLink/A® is a flexible avionics solution that truly delivers
sustainable digital interoperability across multiple air and
ground platforms throughout the battlefield.
StrikeLink/ATM can take on virtually any shape - Form-Fit-Function+
Replacement of Existing Avionics or a completely new material
solution.
StrikeLink/A® offers cost avoidance by utilizing existing aircraft
hardware, mission computer (MC) capability and pilot-vehicle
interface (PVI) avoiding the need for new radios, mission
computers or operational flight programs (OFPs).
StrikeLink/ATM derives its power through software reuse - utilizing
the shared Stauder Technologies Digital Communications
Component (DCC) which delivers a multitude of benefits. Some
key benefits include:
Guaranteed and Sustainable Interoperability
- Air-to-Ground: StrikeLink®-enabled FACs, JTACs, FOs, TACPs and JFOs
- Air-to-Air: StrikeLink/A®-enabled rotary and fixed wing aircraft,
including JSF and F-18
Operationally Tested Capability
- Proven VMF Interoperability with Fielded Aircraft and Ground Kits
- Streamlined Certification and Support
Leverage Community-of-Interest for Requirements Guidance
Single design, development and test effort
- Air / Ground Platforms Stay in Lock-Step
- Synchronized release schedules independent of OFP, MC or radio
- Low-cost Evolutionary P3I Development
- Reduction in Qualification and Testing Costs

StrikeLink® Digital Communications Component (DCC) is the
key to Guaranteed Interoperability Across the Battlefield
